Stories were told that a humanoid robot of untold powers lies buried underneath the mysterious lands of the cross-shaped island. Possessed by the desire to take hold of this amazing relic a group called "Order of the Glittering Star Cross" abducts a girl named Wako Agemaki because it is believed she is the shrine maiden, a key to unlock it. Little do they know a boy named Takuto Tsunashi is arriving with his own robot aiming to rescue Mako. Soon they are all entangled in the secrets of this unlocked technology.
