The story of this anime centers around the life of a poor little boy named Sena Kobayakawa. Yes he has a confusing last name, but his problem was that as a kid he got bullied a lot. Interestingly, Sena adapts to his situation like a chameleon. He gradually trained himself to increase his agility, dodging capabilities, and running speed, so that he can just avoid those bullies. Fortunately when Sena goes to the high school of his choice, Deimon Private Senior High School, he catches the eye of captain Yoichi Hiruma. Not the pedophile kind of eye catch but the "hmm this looks like a good running back" kind of eye catch. So Sena is eventually recruited in the football team, Deimon Devil Bats, and applies all those things he learned ,when he was a kid trying to get as less broken bones as possible, to American Football. It all looks good on his part with one complication. To prevent from being recruited to the other team, Sena is forced to wear a green tinted eyeshield in the field, and pretended to be the team secretary when not in the game.
